Jeremy D. Sher
President
Jeremy is an experienced leader in the political technology and nonprofit areas. He was Director of Technology at the Washington State Democratic Party from 2002 to 2005, where he co-wrote (with Rob Lloyd of Hang Wire and under Paul Berendt's leadership) the nation's only successful online voter database application developed in-house by a Party organization. This software made important contributions to Democrats' success. Jeremy then went to work on web and data technology as an owner of Hang Wire LLC in Seattle, and he moved to Boston in 2008 to lead Auburn Quad, Inc., and the Auburn Quad Community Fundraising business unit that's now Grassroots Giving Group. Jeremy's board experience includes four years each as a trustee of Seattle's Central Area Motivation Program (CAMP) and Temple Beth Am, and on the Seattle Human Rights Commission as a mayoral appointee, and he was a seven-year organizer of Seattle's annual Martin Luther King, Jr., March & Rally. He is a certified mediator. Jeremy holds a B.S. in mathematics from MIT, where he received the 1999 Karl Taylor Compton Prize, the highest award given to an undergraduate. Born in England Dave has combined experience in both Large international corporations and several small high tech start ups. He was involved in the defense and communications industry with RCA Corporation then joined Digital Equipment Corporation. He has worked extensively in Europe the United States and the third world. He was involved in developing manufacturing, sales and marketing start ups in various countries. He has worked in Hardware and software product engineering, sales marketing and distribution.
He was originally educated in England to a BSc level in electronics and long line communications then attended BU to study Economics.Contact
Jonathan Aronson
Vice President of Business DevelopmentJonathan has been working in the technological sector for most of the last decade. His most recent work has been focused on militarized computer systems and environmentally friendly computing. A lifelong Bostonian he is an entrepreneur who has worked to create and support startups and small businesses in the local region. He now brings his experience to Grass Roots Giving to assist our growing G3 Fund Raising Engine and aid the growth of the company and promotion of our campaigns.
Jonathan’s interests in promoting philanthropy, fundraising and organizing community outreach programs have been prevalent since his time at University of Vermont where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Development and Applied Economics with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Business and a minor in International Development. During his time in Vermont he was president of the University Hillel Chapter. He was also the philanthropy and fundraising chair for the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity at UVM and sat on the Campus Diversity Allocation Fund Committee working with the university and city of Burlington in outreach, fundraising and to bring educational programs to the community.Contact
